I debated actually booking sessions as I wasn’t sure how our son (age 7) would respond to them as he can be very shy around new people and he also doesn’t enjoy practising the things he finds difficult, however I needn’t have hesitated. Sarah is incredibly understanding and patient. Our son always finishes the sessions with the biggest smile on his face and he’s just beaming with pride – he can’t wait to come and show us the sticker he gets for working hard. The sessions are tailored to suit him and we’re given the tools/guidance we need to support him in-between sessions.”

    Sarah has clearly put a lot of thought and preparation into the sessions, and has devised personalised learning aides for our son which is a lovely touch and no doubt encourages him to focus on the learning. We can see improvement already with his reading and writing.”

Sarah uses a variety of rewards which are fun and engaging to ensure maximum progress within the short, tailored sessions and he looks forward to showing us what he has learned each week.     “I was concerned that the lack of professional teaching and support during the school holidays would impact my son’s development so reached out to Sarah. Even before we met and before my son’s first session, we knew that Sarah would be perfect for my son who is SEN. She was keen to understand where he was with education and his interests.

    The first session started off perfectly. Sarah had made my son a personalised sticker chart related to his favourite topic at that time. Sarah comes fully equipped with everything needed to get straight into the session and knows straight away her plan for the session. This means very little teaching time is wasted. Sarah is very engaging, listens to what we would like to get out of not only each session but also longer term. My son is not always comfortable with new people but he loved working with Sarah from the first minute.

    Sarah has great ideas to assist with my son’s learning. Sarah realises one size does not fit all and adjusts her approach to get the best out of each session. We look forward to continuing to work with Sarah. My only regret is that we didn’t find Sarah earlier for our daughter and earlier for our son.”
